CAUTION
TO SELLERS - there are many scammers operating now. If anyone tries to
send you a cashier's or bank check for more than the amount of the sale, asking
you to return the rest, be VERY careful. You could lose your car and your money!
There are many forged cashiers
checks going around - be sure to let it clear AND call the bank. Be especially
cautious if the buyer is outside the US. Better to use bank wire transfer,
and Cash is King.
READ THIS FIRST if you are
considering a long-distance buy/sell.
If you sell your car
please drop me a note at dmcforsale(AT)dmcnews.com

Up for sale
is my 1981 DeLorean which has a little over 66,000 miles on it. It has
not been stored a million years like so many others, It has been very
well maintained by it's owners and I am the current owner. The main
issues with the car are cosmetic, but none that can't be fixed easily.
Here is a list of what has been replaced on the car since 2006:
Trunk Release Inner Cable Replaced
Drivers Side Transmission Mount Replaced
Windows Tinted
PJ Grady Tail Light Circuit Board
Cooling Fans
Water Pump and Thermostat
Entire Fuel system
All Relays
All Fuses Replaced
110 amp Alternator
Wings a loft door locks
LED Bulbs in Binnacle (instrument cluster)
Window Motors
Fain Fail Fix (PJ Grady)
Inner Door Seals
Brake Master Cylinder (all lines flushed and bled)
Stainless Steel Clutch Line
Clutch and Slave Master Cylinder
All Hoses to and from Radiator
Stainless Coolant Bottle
Complete Tune up (including new ignition coil, new wires and new spark
plugs)
All vacuum lines replaced with silicone lines
Exhaust Manifold Gaskets (manifolds were machined)
Both Belts replaced
New Battery (Aug '08)
New Blower Motor
A/C Low Pressure Switch Replaced (fixed the freon leak)
Fascias Repainted (Feb '08)
Trailing Arm Bolts Replaced (Toby TABS from DeLorean Parts Northwest)
Angle Drive Replaced along with Lower Speedo Cable
Brake Pads Replaced (Pads are still really thick, due to the fact I only
drive the car on weekends.)
Passenger Side Headlight Replaced (two weeks ago)
Oil Sending Unit Replaced ( this sends a signal to the Dash Light that
warns of low oil pressure)
Oil Pressure Sending Unit Replaced (Sends signal to oil pressure gauge)
The car is mechanically near perfect. It has started up everytime
without hesitation.
Here are the cosmetic issues:
The Seat Leather could use replacing, its why I keep seat covers on
them. The leather has come apart at the seam on the drivers seat, about
5 inches from the head rest on the left side. Other than that, the seats
are not torn anywhere, the leather is just old and stiff.
The Dash is cracked at the Binnacle (instrument cluster) and near the
glove compartment, so I have a Dashmat with DMC-12 embroidered on it.
These are the last two things that I was going to fix on the car,
however, I have decided to sell.
Smaller issue are two small nicks on the front fascia, passenger side,
caused by highway driving, probably rocks hit it. Also, the passenger
window has stopped working but it is probably a connection issue. It's
got a fairly new window motor (3 years old) and a new window switch.
There is power to it so it can probably be fixed fairly easily.
I only drove this car on weekends, as Ive only put a little under 10,000
miles on it in two years. I've also taken it to local shows since I am a
member of The DeLorean Club of Florida. It is kept under a car cover to
protect it from the elements. The transmission shifts smoothly and It
has a Kenwood CD Player w/ Ipod connection installed and two Infinity
Mid range speakers on the back shelf in the rear cargo area. I have the
original rear shelf that comes with the car, as well as some other
original parts and a couple of Issues of DeLorean World magazine. Also,
I've got receipts of all parts and work that has been done.
NOTE: The car has a lien on it. The buyer may pick up the vehicle
anytime as soon as full payment is received, however, after full payment
is received (be it check or cash), I will need 3 - 5 days to get the
Title to you, which means you cannot register the car in your name until
I send you the title, which I will do as fast as humanly possible!
Obviously, a check will probably take a few days to clear, then I will
start the process of getting the title. If you are in another state, I
will Overnight FEDEX the title to you. If you are near me, I will give
you the title in person.
Ok, the car has been described to the best of my knowledge. I have taken
good care of it. If you have any questions or would like pictures, call
me. I'm also open to offers. 813-479-5026.
Thank You.

I purchased
this car back in 2006, within that time I have spent much time and money
into adding and updating, yet keeping it as original as possible.
The car is in good condition with no oil leaks and a clean title in
hand.
Work done...
Rewired interior lights
LED bulbs in the instrument panel, interior, doors and engine bay.
Rewired high and low beam at switch with relays.
Brake master cylinder, all lines flushed and bled.
Wired front marker lights as turn signals.
New front signal assemblies.
New radiator.
All hoses replaced with rubber to and from the radiator.
Stainless coolant bottle.
New battery in May 2009.
New paint on both bumpers, rear louver and engine cover.
Replaced clips in front grill and repaired front fascia eyebrow with
aluminium supports.
Stainless lettering.
New stereo, rear speakers and antenna.
Rebuilt headlight switch.
Lowered front springs.
Much work and parts replaced in the fuel injection system.
Rebuilt steering rack with replaced steering column cover.
Rebuilt clutch pedal linkage.
Resealed engine, new gaskets and seals.
Replaced exhaust. Sounds great and turns heads.
Now the ugly...
The dash is cracked.
Carpet is worn yet still looks clean.
Leather seats needs to be replaced, I have sheepskin covers over them.
Steering wheel needs recovering.
Drivers side window needs assistance when closing.
Two tiny dings, one on the drivers door and one on the hood. Only
noticeable in some angles. People do not see them until I point them
out.
Tail light circuit board will need replacing, living on borrowed time.
It currently has 49,500 miles and is a very reliable car as I do drive
it at every opportunity. It has never been driven in the snow and I keep
it in the garage since I have owned it.
Comes with car cover, shop service manuals and schematics.
Also all parts taken off, i.e original exhaust.
I need to find a good home for my car as I am moving to Australia at the
end of the year and I am afraid shipping it would do to much damage.
Please e-mail me for questions and photos at yoothamurra@yahoo.com.
Thank you for reading.

DeLorean for sale, looking for a good home! Original California car.
Stainless Steel exterior. Grey Interior. Manual transmission. Always
garaged. Only driven on weekends. Lives in North Hollywood, CA.
This car is in exceptional condition. It is my second DeLorean and by
far one of the best I’ve ridden in. I have loved it, but sad to say I’m
selling it because I’m looking to move. I’d prefer to sell to someone
who really knows DeLoreans. This car has been babied by myself and the
previous owner. I have all the service records of anything that’s been
done to this car since the eighties. And this car has had everything
updated or replaced. Since I’ve owned the car, I put an extra $3,000
into it to bring it to near perfect condition. It won’t need anything
except an oil change and gas for years to come. This is the latest model
built, 1983, which is arguably the best build. Unlike the earlier cars,
this model has better, stronger, redesigned parts, flared tailpipes and
reinforced gull-wing doors. The car has just over 97,000 original miles
and you’d never know it. And in 3,000 more miles, you won’t know it
because you’ll role the digits back over to zero! It’ll be
a brand new car! It’s an exceptional specimen of a DeLorean.
-Engine purrs like it’s brand new. Starts every time you turn the key.
-Excellent exterior of beautiful brushed stainless steel. No dents.
-Great interior. Recently recovered seats, leather is in great shape all
around. No cracks in binnacle. Only minor dash fading on glove box, and
only noticeable in the right light. Also comes with very well done
custom dash cover. And they offer a new dash now at DMC if you ever
wanted to replace it down the line.
-All work done professionally by DMC in Garden Grove. No short cuts or
cheap fixes.
-No rust anywhere
-Fuse Box area cleaned up, fuses and relays updated
-Remote Door Poppers installed so you never have to touch the door
handle! Coolest feature on the car!!!
-Recently upgraded 140A alternator for lots of juice
-Flat Hood
-New improved digital headlight switch
-Upgraded 160mph Speedometer
-New improved metal window regulators (not the original weak plastic
builds)
-Comes with headlight tints, (not shown because I removed them)
-New battery
-LockZilla
-New door struts
-New Stainless Steel heat shield
-LED lights (interior and exterior)
-Car Cover
-DMC floor matts
-Alarm and Remote
-Aftermarket Alpine Stereo w/ CD player
-Has all recalls and updates
-A/C blows crisp cold air
-It does need a new radio antenna (a do-it-yourself project). But that’s
it!
Only Second Owner. This beautiful car has been meticulously cared for
and loved by both owners. The pictures don’t do it justice; come see it
in person. Everything works (except antenna), a rare find. It’s never
seen the snow and hardly ever been in the rain. Anytime something
stopped working on the car, I replaced it with an improved or reinforced
DMC part if it was available. It could easily be a concourse car if you
wanted to take it that direction, or a fun reliable daily driver. I have
a whole binder of DeLorean Magazines, well-documented service records,
and owner’s manual.
This is a great deal. These cars are only going up in value. If you want
a project car, this is not your car. If you want a reliable car that
won’t empty your pocket book with repairs and surprises, this is the car
for you. Drive it everyday, or put it on display. Enjoy the attention,
enjoy the ride, Live The Dream.

If
you have always wanted a maxed-out restored Delorean that someone else
has done all the work on, now is you chance to own one and save
thousands $$$
I began with a neglected D that had a near perfect frame, interior and
body. I removed the interior, engine, transmission, suspension and all
hoses, brackets, etc. and meticulously cleaned, bead blasted, painted
and power coated everything as I carefully reassembled it. Everything
worn, nasty, or just old looking was replaced. The car was completed in
July of 2006. I have sincedriven it some 5000 miles without any issues.
It is ready for you to enjoy.
I spared no expense in my rebuild, as you can see from the list below. I
have some $35,000 in the car and parts, along with 100’s of man-hours of
labor. I have photo documentation of most of the restoration.
As you can see from the list, I installed a 140 mph speedometer. The
original speedometer had 5800 or so miles on it, but the angle drive was
broken and from the records that came with the car, had been since the
mid 80’s. The previous owner estimated that it had about 10K miles on it
when I bought it. Given the condition of the interior I believed this to
be correct. I installed the 140mph unit with 0 miles which now reads 5K.
So I believe it to have about 15K miles on it.
I presently have five cars. My wife and I agree something must go. I am
so meticulous with the Delorean that I seldom drive it. I want to move
on to the next adventure.
I am asking only $30,850 for the car and all accessories.

1982 DeLorean for SALE! 22,000 original miles. Stainless steel exterior.
Gray interior. Manual Transmission. Garage kept.
I purchased this car in the late 1980's it has been kept in my garage
ever since then. It is 100% original - - I did absolutely nothing to
this car other than to install a "french tickler" because every time I
went to drive the car to a special event (I drove it so infrequently)
the battery was always dead. I had the tickler installed to keep the
battery charged.
I currently have this vehicle in the parking lot of my law office and I
can only tell you that the attention it has been getting is beyond
belief. Everyday people stop to take pictures of the car and I even had
a movie producer call because he wanted to rent it to put it in a film
and I declined because I want to "sell" the car.
The price of the car is $15,000.00 firm.
The only reason I am selling the car is because my wife told me to "get
it out of the garage".
I am an attorney and know absolutely nothing about cars and I only
bought it because I'm smart enough to know its rareity and its a good
investment.

Please see
http://eskin.com/delorean for detailed photos, service
history, videos, etc.
After owning this Delorean since 2000, it is now time for me to part
with it. I simply don't drive it very much at all, and it would be much
better served by someone who can. This Delorean is between "Very Good"
and "Excellent" condition, and has been continually serviced by Rob
Grady at P.J. Grady Delorean. Please see the Repair History page on
http://eskin.com/delorean for details of all the work I've done on
the
care while in my care.
The price is $27,500. The car is currently available in Greenwich, CT
for inspection or test drives (Serious buyers only, please). The
odometer just turned over 40,000 miles. I purchased it with about 16,000
miles. This car has been driven round-trip from the Boston area, without
incident, to all previous Delorean Car Show shows (Cleveland, Memphis,
Pigeon Forge, and Pheasant Run). At the Memphis show in 2002, #1619 won
First-Place in the "Daily Driver" category for its mileage class (20K -
30K) . I've also taken it to several Delorean Mid-Atlantic events. I am
an active member of the Delorean Mailing List (DMCNEWS), Delorean
Mid-Atlantic, and DMC New England clubs. I would like to see this car go
to good, caring, home.
This car will be at the Delorean Car Show in Gettysburg in June and
available for inspection/test drives.

My 1981 DeLorean is a Florida native, so it has been free of snow, rock
salt, hills and potholes its entire life. I've had it for seven years
but now am thinking about a roadster. Wish I had the space to keep the
DeLo too.
The DeLorean has been garage kept for all seven years, used only as a
Sunday driver so it has been in the best of both worlds: infrequent yet
regular use. It is in extremely good condition inside and out.
It is in fine mechanical condition and very reliable -- starts right up
every time. It has new brakes and front tires, and fresh oil always. I
installed a fuel filter after I bought it from an ex-DEA agent, and also
added partial headliner and radio.
The interior is very clean. Push-buttons are a little wobbly but all
work. Leather is near perfect. Instrument cover has a couple very small
sun cracks but generally in good condition.
Car includes lots of extras: Original window sticker and manual,
original tool kit and spare tire, custom DeLorean canvas cover and
what's left of my DeLorean car care kit is yours, too.
+++ Also willing to include assorted DeLorean memorabilia and magazines
collected over the years -- including AutoWeek's first review. A
Best-of-Show trophy from a local show goes with the car, if u want it.
(It also captured a Best Silver Car award at the Silver Anniversary of
the Broward County, Fla. Fair.)
PRICE: $19,900.

anniversary)

TERMS AND
CONDITIONS
Often items are posted to the DeLorean Mailing List for sale, but are
quickly forgotten as new messages are posted. Here's a popular
place to advertise DeLoreans for Sale. This is the largest and most active
listing of DeLoreans on the Internet.
The most recent 50
ads will remain posted (or until you notify us that the
car has been sold). I'll also delete them after about six months, you may
resubmit any time. You are strongly encouraged to read the terms
and conditions of the DMC-News "Department of Commerce" before
proceeding.
Please let me know
when you car sells so I can remove the ad. Just send an email to dmcforsale(AT)dmcnews.com (change
the (AT) to @) requesting that the ad be cancelled, preferably from the email address used in
the ad, so I know it's really you. Feel free to put a URL in your ad, but
if it ever quits working I'll assume you sold the car. Same for ebay
references. I'm sending out test emails occasionally, if your email
address bounces back I'll delete the ad.
If you're seriously
looking, be sure to read the FAQs and some
other pre-purchase hints under the General heading of the Tech
Section, especially this one.
