to: All attending the Cleveland Show -

There will be a special "Cleveland 2000 Gold Limited Edition" one
twenty-forth scale DeLorean
kit at the Cleveland show. This is a very special "ONE OF A KIND" edition
made
especially for Ken to have for some lucky show attendee. The lucky winner
might try for a JZD
autograph on the kit! (use a felt tip)

Every thing about this one-of a-kind Kit is special and different in the
details than the regular limited edition, including extra 24Kt Gold for the
body, and pre fitted parts. The lucky winner can
contact me for a personalized manual after the show.

I regret that I can not attend the 2000 do'in's but my commitments to the
SUN STAR production
of an all metal die cast DeLorean make it impossible*.

Lee

*This includes getting out more of the final limited editions. :-)

CAUTION : Any individual or group discharging a nuclear device or weapon
inside Los Angeles city limits may be fined $500 - and/or serve 30 days in
county jail.

It's the LAW!

I didn't want to get into this....but

The Ebay ad says the item is a "fibreglass reproduction." Yet the next
sentence describes it as an "original vehicle component." Which is it? It
sounds to me like politician-talk for "piece of garbage."

Now lets get back to talking about REAL DeLoreans.

Subject: Grounding Questions

Can anyone tell me where ALL the grounding connections on the
DeLorean are? Monday my fuel pump quit on me in traffic. While I
pushed the car to safety, I was damn near killed by a double trailer
semi who turned the corner too fast and almost didn't stop in time to
avoid running me over. But that's a story for a another occasion...
My fuel pump doesn't work when connected, but my multi meter shows
about 10 volts comming thru the wire. After running a seperate wire
and grounding the negative wire from the fuel pump, the pump runs
fine. For the day an a half before the pump quit, the engine was
stalling randomly. So my guess is that this was a sign that a ground
connection was going out.

On a side note: When I removed the access panel to the brake master
cylinder, I found the front ground point. I disconnected all the
wires, but my headlights, cooling fans, & everything else still
worked. After cleaning the bolt, frame, and cleaning the connections
my fuel pump still would not work. But boy did my headlights get
brighter! Now when I run all accessories (lights, A/C, etc..) the
voltmeter only goes down to 13 volts!

I've seen my low fuel light come on exactly once. It came on just as the
needle hit E, coincedentally about 30 seconds before I ran out of gas. The
gauge on my car is just way TOO accurate. I prefer a little warning.......

Subject: Re: Stalling!!!

You need to troubleshoot three fuel subsystems. They are
1) the lambda enrichment system (should here the frequency valve
buzzing like a mad cricket with the motor running)
2) the cold start valve ( If the motor runs good hot it probably has
a
problem)
3) the idle motor circuit (make sure it has power and the idle switch
is working, check it with a meter)
If these hints don't help check for a vacum leak ie; a disconnected
hose, loose fittings, etc. also there are 3 adjustment screws on the
metering body MAKE SURE THEY ARE PROPERLY SET and that there is a
plug
in the metering body over the mixture screw.

you may be able to get greenpeace to help foot the bill on getting these
dies out of the water. If the dies are attached to fish netting that is
currently no longer being maintained I'm sure they would have an interest in
having the unattended nets pulled up.

if I remember correctly I think fishing companies are suppossed to keep
records of where they put there nets down. 1)so that other fishing co.s dont
drop nets ontop of there nets. 2) because they are suppossed to keep records
of non-desirable animals (whales, dolphins sharks) that get tangled in those
nets. Of course I could be wrong here, but I think this legislation happened
around the time when dolphin safe tuna was popular. (Granted that was a USA
thing, but maybe it's international).

just a thought.

Mark,

I think you are reading that statement wrong, try reading it this way...
"...There are eight (photos) all together, and they show the moulds being
pushed overboard from THE SHIP that we ARE now restoring, to act as fish
farm anchors. What a way to treat beautifully made - and extremely
  expensive - castings. . "

It says nothing about the molds being restored. They are still under water
holding down useless fish nets.

The eBay seller does not claim that it is off of the original car.
I believe the word used in the item description is "reproduction".

STOP STARTING YOUR CAR!!!!!!

Mine had the exact same symtpoms. Your problem is fuel contamanation, To
make a long story short, red fuel is bad. Drain the tank, clean it a few
times, replace the rotting fuel pickup hose, you may also may have to replace
the fuel pump boot. Continuing to start your car with the bad fuel can cause
thousands of dollars worth of damage to the fuel system. Trust me I've been
there.

Wayne & Others.

3 way's to check low fuel light working and how critical it is.

#1.Take the cover off to expose the top of the fuel sending unit. Jumper clip
the red & Black wire and you will see the light is working.
#2.If you really want to see how critical it is on low or empty. Take the
unit out and hook up digital multimeter with a buzzer. Connect the red and
black wire to the meter and slowly turn the unit upright as the inside is
droping and the see where the buzz comes in. Mine comes in at the very
bottom. Ain't much gas left. Switch the meter to ohm's x10 and the ohm's
reading at the bottom of the sending unit should be less than 1 ohm.
#3. Run out of gas.
