I have a room reserved at the radisson for the DMC car show in
memphis. I live in Southwest Missouri and amd looking for someone
that would either be interested in splitting the costs of sharing a
room, or if you live within 200 miles or so of Joplin, MO splitting
travel expences. If you are interested, or need more details, please
send me an e-mail at:

Walter

I'd like to agree with you on this point. I've been watching your posts on
this issue ,however not commenting as I am still in the process of a brake
rebuilt. I have put brand new discs on the back and still get a 'wobble' on
the drivers side, I thought at first the drive axel was bent! I have now
actually had two 'E Brake' pads come apart on that disc.

If you solve the issue please let me know.

Thanks
Paul

I found half a dozen walnuts in my blower cage as well as enough leaves to
slow/stop 80% of the air. My car while in the neglect of its PO was home to
any number of rodents... I actually found a rat's nest in my passenger
door.

Four screws/nuts under the glove box. Pull the two plugs first. Fan motor
will be obvious. Check this before ordering parts. Betcha that's your
problem... If you need a fan, they're $20-150, depending on source... Save
the cage...

Just in case someone hadn't mentioned this before, the Pate Transportation
Museum in Cresson, Texas has a Delorean on display. It's open Tuesday
through Sunday, 9:00am to 5:00pm and it's free admission. They also have
many other interesting cars and 6 or 7 aircraft outside.

I also came across an article in the Detroit Free Press concerning GM's
plans to reintroduce the Pontiac GTO. In the interview, there are comments
from Bill Collins, who originally worked with John Delorean on the GTO at
Pontiac. He also helped John with the original engineering on the DMC-12, as
most everyone on the list probably already knows.

I thought the list might get a kick out of this. I came across an old
article by a Forbes journalist that apparently thought John Delorean still
worked at GM in the early eighties, and even convinced them to make the
Fiero.

Oh my God, there is a rear light back there! I thought I'd crawled all over
this car and had made every discovery there was to make. Sure, I knew about
the compartment, and the dash dimmer pot, etc. It was right where you said.
Thanks Walt.

I found a site selling the door trim black sticker that is behind the
door panel but I forgot to bookmark it. Anyone know what this part
number is and if it is widely available?

The only adjustment for aligning the front suspension of the DeLorean is
toe-in. The sway bar does hold the caster adjustment but there is only one
way to secure the sway bar and there is no adjusting capability built into
it. In other words you can remove the front sway bar mounts and re-install
them without affecting alignment. Just be sure to install the rubber bushing
the same way as they were with the sway bar offset towards the front of the
car. I would suggest heating the bolts with a propane torch prior to
removing them as they were installed using green locktight and the heat will
soften that. Otherwise you could have a problem with the threads in the
captive nuts in the frame.

Hey everyone,

i am interested in replacing my cooling fans. i think one is totally dead
and the other one will probably not be far away if one has already died. i
usually use OEM parts and such, but i don't have the kind of money to spend
over $500 on a pair of cooling fans since i need to put a new radiator in
too.

does anyone know of other fans that will fit?
John Hervey, how do your fans measure up against OEM DeLorean fans?

Thanks
Andy

Did anyone catch the My Classic Car Autofest episode last week? I
missed it.

The MCC website has a writeup of the episode. The writeup mentions our
DeLoreans, and features a very nice picture of them. I am curious if
we made it into the TV show or not. We've had awfully good publicity
from the Aufofest in the past.

Here's the writeup page:

Don,

i didn't know i had one until i looked ALL OVER for it when i first got my
car!! it's under the rear window, kind of in the parcel shelf. find the two
middle cargo net hooks, then look in the center of them on the underside of
the lip. should have an identical light like the front map light. when you
find it, you'll feel really stupid!

later,
Andy
