Car won't start due to fuel problem. Thanks for all the suggestions. I will try that this weekend, but before I do, I have one question. The fuel distributor was completely removed, everything was positively put back in the correct order, but the fuel distributor did get moisture in it, ie. rain. I cleaned it out as best I could. Would this affect my problem? (All fuel hoses and vaccum lines were put back on correctly.)

Well I guess since the hoses are kind of odd and aren't straight like i
assumed they were, i will just order them from Grady as usual. another week isn't
too long of a wait i suppose !!! what kind of clamps are the 'correct' ones?
my car has just simple worm-gear stainless hose clamps on it.

hi guys,
thanks for all the insight regaurding dmcs and power steering!! Next
question.. My driver's side window will go down with no problem, but
you really have to play with the switch to get it back up. Sometimes,
i have had to let the car sit and try the switch again after a bit,
at that point it finally goes up. The passengers side will not go up
or down. It is currently up right now. The only time i tried it, the
switch started to billow smoke, not alot, but enough for me to leave
it alone and ask you guys what kind of work i am looking at to
potentially fix this problem. Any ideas?

Hi

Does this happen from all vents in any position?
Is there a hissing noise from the switch or its vicinity??

Hi Jordan,

Another well done HOWTO. Problem is, the guestbook doesn't seem to
work. I tried clicking on it a few times and nothing happens. After
waiting a minute or so, a message box comes up saying "operation timed
out". Could be a problem with my system, yet your other links work
fine. Just thought I'd let you know.

Easy - Buy a new switch. Nice reproductions are available and they
work MUCH better than the originals. I know Houston has them not sure
about the others. Very easy fix then, just pop the switch out, plug
in the new one. It may help to stick your fingers in thru the ashtray
opening to lift the switch out, although in many cars the switches
are about falling out.

Now that I'm installing the 915 tranny into my D, I will no longer need the
DeLorean to Chevy bellhousing any longer. If you wana put a Chevy motor
into your DeLorean, you'll definitely need this. I've had numerous people
on the DML email me over the past 2 years about where to get one from and
now I've put mine up for sale. Its in EXCELLENT condition and even has the
DeLorean gasket still attached to it (however, I recommend changing that
out) It also includes the special torque converter as well. I have the
recepits for these items and the bellhousing alone cost over $1,000. Here
is a link to the auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2436417955

In case the link doesn't carry over, the item number is 2436417955.

I also have a spare automatic tranny for sale as well. It came out of a
good running DeLorean, but I've never installed it so I can't say for sure
what the condition is. Its been sitting in my shed for about a year. I'm
just selling it to get it out of the way.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2436416591

Item number 243641659.

Thanks!

Duke

Forgot to mention, I have an updated/revised automatic computer governor for
sale as well. It has been updated with better components to ensure a long
life and also, the two circuit boards that are located in the housing have
been moved to a new black box with enough slack to install easily anywhere
in the engine compartment. The box is sealed so that no water can get into
it as well.

I wish they'd take that picture down from the net because it's just a constant recurring question. Everyone wants to know more about this conversion, but no one has any real information on it. I think it was our very own Dave Swingle who said a couple of weeks ago that he thought he took the picture, and that the car was from the midwest, but no one has been in contact with the owner for several years. Dave was also saying that the intake tube from the supercharger could be disconnected and the original air cleaner be put back on, and the car would be back to stock in minutes. Of course you've still got a supercharger hanging off your engine.

Speaking of modified PRVs... has anyone else seen this carbureted one on ebay? It's got an entirely different intake manifold and everything.

You may want to try adjusting your CO now. Try to maximise the dwell angel
and see if the dwell then begins to pulse. My car has a very narrow range of
adjustment on the CO for the dwell before it will pulse.

The problem with LEDs as a replacement for standard bulbs is that they
are extremely directional - think of them as mini spotlights. Anything
that relies on a diffused light source will not look any good with an
LED. The AC panel is an example - you'll get 4 spots on the panel and
very little else

Hey all,

Last night i saw the E! True Hollywood Story on millionaire porn actress Jenna Jameson. The show got interesting when a shot was shown with her sitting on a motorcycle with a DeLorean spread-eagle (both doors and hood open) taking up the whole background. what a hot scene. she didn't look too bad either.

Looks to me like a damn mess!
The intake looks like something someone welded together with aluminum A/C ducting. it would be interesting to know the whole story.
